Mission Field – There is a renewed desire among people to reach the 95% of Deaf people and their families who do not believe in Jesus. Deaf leaders have also worked in foreign mission fields such as Macau and Ghana to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Deaf Institute of Theology training has begun for deaf evangelists in Ghana. Church Interpreter Training Institute (CITI) – CITI is a training program at Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne. Through CITI and other training programs we continue to train and support interpreters working in church settings. Deaf Lutheran Mission Society – This society is established to help in training Deaf pastors, missionaries and leaders in outreach to the Deaf community and their families. |
